Fremont Fair Volunteer Positions/Shifts

Volunteer Positions - Check ONLY the shifts you want to work
GREETERS: WELCOME FAIR-GOERS (2.5 hr Shifts) As a greeter, your smile welcomes 40,000 fair-goers. At the Fair's four main entrances, Carnival Barkers ask attendees to give a few dollars to help Solid Ground's housing and shelter programs. Your role is to hand out free stickers and thank attendees. This is an excellent way to volunteer in the sunshine with a big group of friends! Just put your group's name in the comment box below so we can place you together. Available Shifts: Saturday: June 21 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM Sunday: June 22 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Gate Leads. Manage greeter crews, troubleshoot crowd flow and communicate with volunteer base. (3.5 hr shifts). Shuttle Escorts. Help volunteers gets from Solid Ground's parking lot in Wallingford to the Fair in Fremont and back again. Carnival Barkers. Get a stage to let the crowd know that 100% of their generous gifts will help Solid Ground end homelessness. Effectively communicating this message means entertaining the crowd and volunteers. Stipend available for this position, with interview and pre-fair training required. See craigslist.org (Seattle) for full position description. (5 and 7 hr shifts). Set Up Specialists. Help out in the office to get ready for the Fair. Tasks may include setting up cell phone address books, painting boxes and re-doing signage. Your help is especially needed June 1-20th.
