The 2014 Solstice Parade will take place on Saturday at 3 pm where whimsical displays of mobile art, including marching ensembles and creative floats, are sure to delight crowds in the Center of the Universe. The 26th annual Solstice Parade is produced by the Fremont Arts Council; and begins 36th and Leary and ends at Gasworks Park.

Singing lobsters, a mobile chalkboard, and a whole lot of dental knickknacks – it wouldn’t be the Fremont Fair without the Seattle Art Car Blow-Out. The weekend features the largest gathering of Art Cars in the Northwest – over 75 decorated cars will be on display on Saturday and Sunday!

Sunday at 2pm the Dog Parade, paralleling its human counter part, will march through the Fair Grounds featuring our furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Registration takes place on Sunday next to the Waterfront Stage from 11am-1:30pm. A $10 registration fee benefits, COLA, Citizens for Off Leash Areas, and is required per dog family.

Namaste! Grab your mat and join Planet Earth Yoga as they host Yoga for the Solstice to the Fremont Fair. Taking place Sunday at 10am on the Rocket Block, Laura Yon-Brooks will lead a solstice-inspired, on hour yoga practice for all levels complete with summer sun salutations.
Fremont Abbey will host a variety of children’s art activities as well as family friendly entertainment throughout Saturday and Sunday. Please check back for detailed activities.
